James "Jamie" Ringholm has been performing music his entire life. He has been active in professional productions since his middle school years and attended the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, TX, before continuing his education at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. While at both of these schools, he intensely studied a wide variety of music including classical, jazz, Afro/Caribbean salsa, funk/pop, hip-hop, blues, and various rock styles in both academic and professional settings as a pianist, drummer/percussionist and vocalist.
Upon completing his Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies, James moved back to Dallas where his professional career began to blossom. Throughout his career, he has performed alongside or as support for such acts as Aurturo Sandoval, Josh Turner, Ludacris, members of the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Snarky Puppy, Pat Green, Ginuwine, Bob Mintzer, The Animal Collective, Randy Rodgers, Erkyah Badu, Eli Young Band, Bernard Wright, and Charlie Daniels, just to name a few.
James has been teaching in the DFW area since 2011. He teaches piano lessons to students of most skill levels, as well as voice, drum and hand percussion lessons to beginners of all ages.
