David Arce Bustos is an accomplished teacher and Jazz pianist born and raised in Austin,Texas. David began playing at 7 years old for his church in Austin and grew up as a gospel pianist. He still plays for church in Austin and in the Dallas area. He began studying music composition at Austin Community College where he studied under former Snarky Puppy member Brian Donohoe.
Having received his Associate's in piano performance, he then transferred to finish his Bachelor's at Texas A&M University Kingsville. After graduating in the Spring of 2024, David has been accepted and committed to pursuing his Master's at the University of North Texas where he will be studying Jazz Studies under Dave Meder.
Secondly, David has been giving private piano lessons all throughout his 4 years of college and has an excellent way of working with students. He specializes in Jazz, theory, harmony, and technique while also making it an enjoyable experience for all students.
David has performed with notable names and most recently famous Jazz Bassist Linda May Han Oh, bass player for the movie "Soul." David has also played in Combo 1 and Jazz Big Band 2 for the Texas A&M University Kingsville school of music. Having produced several singles on all streaming platforms, David Arce Bustos has released his most notable EP, "Despedida," which is available on all platforms and showcases his ability on the piano.
Lastly, David strives for the success of his students by providing positive feedback, energetic approaches, and a goal like mentality. He works hard to provide a base plan for each student and he is always looking to make each student have a great outcome during each lesson.
