Voice
Faith Varlack began performing on stage as a vocalist at the age of 3. She loved performing and was inspired to become a professional musician. She began taking private voice lessons at the age of 12, discovering that there was much more to learn about the voice and the proper technique for singing such as posture and breath control.
After being introduced to choir in high school, she fell in love with the camaraderie, competition and the experience of making beautiful music with others. After graduating high school, Faith pursued a music education degree with a focus on classical voice at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. While at Lee, Faith traveled around the country, performing with the Lee Choral Union and the Campus Choir. She also spent a year performing with the college handbell choir. Upon graduating with her Bachelors Degree in Music Education, Faith began her career as a choir teacher, while also earning a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
Faith enjoys teaching all ages of students and has experience developing elementary, middle school and high school students. She has directed award-winning school choirs, instructed and developed individual voices students, and founded/directed church and community choirs for more than 25 years. One of her greatest joys and accomplishments has been to instruct her own children to success as Texas All-State choir students.
Faith loves being able to help a student "find their voice," and discover the confidence that comes with finding it! Faith believes that anyone can learn to sing. Beyond teaching, Faith desires to instill in students a love for the art of performance and musicianship because ultimately these qualities can be translated to any other field of study or career a student may pursue. Faith seeks to inspire her students to become individuals who support the Fine Arts as a critical component of our society.
