Frank McDougle, a native of Houston, Texas, has cultivated his passion for music since the age of 8, when he first embraced the piano. Inspired by his involvement with the praise team at his local church, Frank embarked on a musical journey that has defined his life's work.
His formal musical education commenced with piano lessons under the tutelage of Lila Johnson, whose mentorship significantly shaped Frank's musical trajectory. Throughout his formative years, Frank's dedication to music extended beyond the piano; he lent his voice to various choirs during his schooling at a Christian institution in Channelview, Texas.
Upon graduating from high school, Frank pursued a degree in music at San Jacinto College, where he honed his vocal talents as part of the college choir under the
direction of Dr. Edgar Moore.
Continuing his educational pursuit, Frank enrolled at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, where he deepened his musical proficiency. As a member of the renowned Southwestern Singers, led by Dr. Skip Redd, Frank embarked on tours, enriching audiences with his vocal prowess. Concurrently, he served as a pianist for chapel services, embodying his commitment to musical excellence.
Armed with a Bachelor’s of Science in Church Music, Frank embarked on a multifaceted career that showcased his versatility as a musician. From leading worship teams to teaching piano, Frank's passion for music permeates every facet of his professional life. Over the past decade, he has imparted his musical knowledge to budding pianists, nurturing their talents in both home and online settings.
Presently, Frank serves as the worship leader for a church in Baytown, Texas, where his musical stewardship continues to inspire congregants. Amidst his commitments, Frank remains dedicated to fostering musical talent, offering piano lessons to aspiring musicians.
With a penchant for diverse musical genres, ranging from Contemporary Christian to classical and jazz, Frank's musical journey is a testament to his dedication to the art form.
