Piano, Voice, Flute
Katie Vishwanath has been involved in music since she was just 2 years old, when she began her formal training on the piano. Since then, she has been playing piano, flute, and singing both Western and South Indian Classical music for over 20 years. She has performed as a soloist, an accompanist, and with the DC Youth Orchestra on various occasions, such as their concerts at the Kennedy Center and their tour to Chile.
Katie is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioinformatics. She has been teaching piano, voice, and flute to students of all ages since she was still in high school, and she enjoys sharing her passion for music with everyone.
