Ivy Calvert is a passionate voice teacher and performer. She has been singing for as long as she can remember and grew up participating in choirs and musicals. As a professional soprano, she has enjoyed performing across North America and Europe. Ivy received her Master of Music degree in Opera from the University of British Columbia in Canada and also holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Kansas State University. She has experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels, and knows from her journey how impactful private lessons can be.

An active performer, Ivy most recently appeared with the Art Song Institute of San Antonio in a series of recitals. She has sung with companies like the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Ireland's Wexford Festival Opera. In 2019 she was honored to receive the Fielder Grant for Career Advancement, a Texas award for emerging artists. Some of her favorite opera roles have included Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, Clorinda in La Cenerentola, and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance.

Ivy has been teaching voice since 2014 and loves to watch her students grow! She has taught voice lessons privately as well as in public schools. Students can expect a curriculum that focuses on healthy breathing techniques and vocal exercises that increase the freedom and flexibility of the voice. Ivy hopes that each of her students gains a new understanding and appreciation for their voice through lessons.
