Yoonjung Kim was born and raised in Korea before moving to the United States as a young adult. She has been studying piano since the age of 7 and began her voice training at age 13. Yoonjung studied under Soprano Lori Hultgren for four years while pursuing her undergraduate degree at Towson University, and has also studied under Soprano Ah Young Hong, a professor at Johns Hopkins University's Peabody Institute. After completing her Bachelor of Music degree at Towson in 2013, Yoonjung furthered her music education by earning a Master of Music degree from Temple University.
Ms. Kim began teaching both voice and piano while still an undergraduate student herself, and has been teaching ever since. In addition to teaching private one-on-one lessons, she has also worked as a preschool teacher and as a music teacher in a private kindergarten. Yoonjung prides herself on providing students with a solid and well-rounded foundation in music while still ensuring that the lesson atmosphere is fun, engaging, and encouraging. She loves working with students of all ages and skill levels, from young children through adults.
