Quentin Singer

Quentin Singer is a professional guitarist from Northern Virginia, and a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Since age 12, Quentin has held an affinity for guitar performance, particularly in the areas of rock and metal music. His teenage years were spent studying the theory and technique of rock guitar, with Kix's very own Mark Schenker. While rock was the more prominent genre in Quentin's early years, his education at Berklee College of Music developed and diversified his musical styles and specialties. Throughout his tenure at Berklee, jazz, flamenco, pop, and electronica were all a significant part of his studies and core curriculum. Alongside performing and studying these styles, Quentin developed advanced knowledge in music theory and ear training, whilst earning accolades such as The Music Application and Theory Award, The Berklee Achievement Scholarship, and The Brian Eno Production Award, granted for his outstanding work in the Electronic Production and Design major.

Since completing his degree, Quentin has continued to tour and perform across the US and Canada with his alt-rock band, Heavy Sleeper. In addition to sharing music with others though performance, he is also passionate about teaching it. Some of his most memorable, fulfilling, and contented moments have derived from his love for music, and as a result he strives to provide others with a similar musical journey. Quentin is happy to teach all ages, styles and skill levels of guitar. Regardless of a student's musical goals, be they big or small, he prepares lesson plans that are centered around each individual student's goals, interests, and abilities.
