Jesse Harman is a musician, music instructor, and parent with over 15 years of professional experience as a percussionist and keyboardist. His earliest memories are of a music-filled household, where the constant stream of pop classics, Motown, Broadway, rock, and funk established a familial relationship to music. Jesse worked tirelessly during his school years to hone his craft as a percussionist, volunteering for any and every musical opportunity. By the time he graduated high school, he had accrued a generous knowledge of various disciplines & styles of percussion, including rock, funk, jazz, Latin drum kit, snare drum, marching percussion, theatre pit experience, mallet percussion, and auxiliary percussion. Additionally, Jesse took up piano and keyboards, falling in love with music theory and harmonic function.

Throughout his early and later educational career, Jesse performed in countless professional recording acts, to this day he still maintains steady work as a session and performing musician. Following high school, Jesse immediately jumped into a career as a professional musician & music instructor. He attended Middle Tennessee State University to pursue Recording Industry studies, and there he broadened his musical palette & experience pool. After moving back home to be close to family, Jesse fully focused his musical efforts through a holistic approach. Rather than simply seeing music purely as an academic endeavor, Jesse believes music is essential to a fully enriched life.

After the birth of Jesse’s youngest son, he once again began to focus on teaching full-time. As an instructor, Jesse values each individual student’s education, musical & personal growth, and personality. All of his students, regardless of their age or area of study, receive personalized lesson plans and techniques to maximize their growth and enjoyment. Jesse maintains a wide appreciation of his students’ interests, goals, and needs as musicians, and this understanding always informs his teaching direction. Jesse teaches drums and piano to people of all ages and experience levels, although his primary student base is composed of beginning & intermediate musicians between 8-12 years old. He is familiar with many types of learning & behavioral disabilities, and he has family, friends, and students along the autism spectrum - Jesse considers this diverse experience to be of the purest value to his students.

Jesse currently resides in Woodbridge with his fiance and their two sons.
