Ella Zhang is a music instructor originally from China. She pursued her musical studies at at Central China Normal University, majoring in voice and piano and earning several scholarships. Ella performed the roles of Cherubino from Mozze Di Figaro and Azucena from Il trovatore before graduating with her Bachelor of Music Education. She also pursued advanced vocal studies at National Taiwan University of Arts and participated in voice performance as a part of her studies. In 2018, she received her master's degree in Arts Management from George Mason University.

Ella has always had a great passion for music and a love for sharing it with others. She has participated in many volunteer activities as a music teacher in remote areas of China, and currently performs to senior citizens in nursing homes around the Washington, D.C., area. 

Ella teaches voice and piano lessons to students of all ages and backgrounds. With a solid foundation in music education, she is equipped to teach not only performance skills but also music theory, music appreciation and ear training. In addition to classical and opera, Ella is happy to teach any genre that the student is interested in learning. She encourages her students to think independently and to find their own voices, and listens to their thoughts and concerns rather than simply telling them what to do. Her goal is to encourage students to use active learning to explore the beauty of music.
